When we were invited to develop an exhibition stand at Fashio Rio for the partnership between Melissa and Gaetano Pesce we aimed high conceptually. The product in question was a little boot that could be cut and transformed into other types of footwear.
Our challenge then was to create an environment as well as a digital solution so that users could check how their shoes would look like before cutting them.
As in Fashio Rio the stands are in a covered space, our first concept involved an empty structure that strongly resembled the product. However Melissa got an interesting space outside the pavilion and we had to modify our space proposal.
To show we installed large displays that showed the product in a 3D animation illustrating in a playful way the deconstruction of shoes, colors and different possibilities.
A software in Unity was also developed where users could manipulate the shoes in 3D and check how the product would look before they were cut.
After the event we also created points of sale concepts for Melissa to use in her stores in Europe.
